Garden, Terrace & Exterior Design in Vilamoura
In Vilamoura, some of the most valuable rooms do not have four walls.

Bloom Living designs gardens, terraces, balconies and pool areas as genuine extensions of the home, for owners who want the outdoor space to feel as considered as the rooms inside it.
Outside should not feel like an afterthought
It is common for an interior to be carefully considered while the terrace slowly accumulates outdoor furniture, planters and practical pieces with no overall plan.
The result may technically function, but it does not feel connected to the property.
Bloom Living takes the same design approach outside that we use inside: understand how the space should work first, then consider layout, furniture, planting, lighting, shade and finishing together.

Different outdoor spaces need different answers
A compact apartment balcony does not need to imitate a villa garden.
A covered terrace used for dining needs different furniture and circulation from a pool area.
A large garden has practical questions around irrigation, maintenance and planting that need to be considered alongside appearance.
The design therefore begins with use.
Where do people naturally sit? Where is shade required? Is privacy important? Should the space work primarily for dining, entertaining or quiet use?
What Bloom Living designs, by property type
- Golf-estate villa gardens: planting, shade and pool-area layout designed around a plot large enough to need a genuine landscaping plan, not just planters
- Marina and beachfront balconies: compact outdoor rooms designed to work hard, with furniture scaled to the space and materials chosen to withstand salt air
- Resort and rental terraces: durable, easy-to-maintain outdoor spaces that still look considered between changeovers
- New-development plots: exteriors designed from scratch alongside the interior, rather than left until after the owner has moved in
- Second homes: gardens and terraces that feel cared for even after weeks of absence, rather than needing a rescue on every arrival
The owner benefit is a garden or terrace that is enjoyable to use, not merely present, and that has been designed with the maintenance it will actually receive in mind.
Balconies as rooms
Even relatively limited exterior space can dramatically affect the way a property feels.
With the right scale of furniture, planting, lighting and material choices, a balcony can become a proper outdoor room rather than leftover floor area beyond a set of doors.
Bloom Living's "Green Collection" approach is particularly suited to properties where every square metre needs to earn its place, which describes much of Vilamoura's marina and beachfront apartment stock.
Design and ongoing care can connect
Because Bloom Living also works with gardens, property maintenance and management, exterior design can be considered alongside what will realistically be required to keep it looking good.
Beautiful outdoor spaces should still be practical to own.

How we work
Assess the space
We look at orientation, light, existing planting and how the space is actually used across the year.
Design the layout
Seating, dining, shade and planting are planned as one project rather than separate purchases.
Select materials and furniture
Choices are made for durability against sun and salt air as well as appearance.
Coordinate the build
Landscaping, irrigation and any structural work are sequenced and supervised.
Install and finish
Furniture, lighting and planting are installed so the space is ready to use immediately.
Questions we are asked
Can you redesign just a balcony?
Yes. Smaller exterior spaces can be treated as individual design projects where appropriate.
Do you also coordinate gardens and irrigation?
Garden and irrigation coordination can form part of the wider exterior and property-care scope.
Can exterior design connect with an interior project?
Yes. Ideally, the transition between inside and outside is considered rather than treating them as unrelated spaces.
Will a new garden or terrace design be expensive to maintain?
Not necessarily. Planting, materials and irrigation can be specified with realistic upkeep in mind, so the finished result stays looking good without demanding constant attention.
Can you design a pool area as part of a wider garden project?
Yes. The pool area is treated as part of the outdoor design rather than a separate item, so furniture, planting and shade around it are considered together.
